Crossword Interloper
If a crossword puzzle is started,
This observation I've made:
that some helpful one,so glad-hearted,
finds all the words you delayed.
Hide it secure in some closet;
or never be one who solves.
Don't expose it; if you should pause it,
They'll have done it before clock revolves.
For puzzle solving, a comrade
can be a most welcome plus.
If, unknown to you, the besmirched cad
solves it, Oh, Boy! What a fuss.
If you hold your tongue in grim silence,
he will smile a smug, "Well, I won."
Remember, do not stoop to violence;
hide it next time-- and chalk up to fun.
