Stalwart Man

Stalwart: we picture pioneers,
staunch fighters of the past.
With sword and gun, our victories won
for a freedom that would last.

We see the statesman, patriot,
refusing to be bought.
They risked the life, stood strong in strife,
for liberty they fought.

And, yet, today a stalwart man,
is needed in our land,
to expose the false, promote the truth,
these principles to stand.

We tip the hat; thumbs up, we sign,
to whom in word, deed, thought,
his country's best and God's design,
adheres to: patriot.
