From the sands of Sarasota,
where, through palms, the breezes blow,
to the lakes of Minnesota,
covered deep with ice and snow,

hearty folks pursue their liking;
sports and nature they embrace.
Trails and track places for biking,
lakes for swimming or a race.

Ice fishing with joy endues them,
satisfying northern souls.
Out-of-state wags accuse them,
that they cheat by drilling holes.

In the mountains of Alaska,
or the city by the bay,
or beloved Lake Itasca,
near Mississippi's source, they say.

So, if you're out for skiing,
be it downhill or the lake,
the USA for doing, seeing,
powder trails or foamy wake.
