What You Might Like
I'd like to do a lovely thing,
to please and warm your heart.
Savory, delicious food I'd bring,
or flowers fom the mart.
I'd try to wear your favorite dress,
or style with skill, my hair,
avoid all disarray or mess;
you'll know I'm glad you're there.
It may be that you'll eat the food,
with subjects on your mind,
that you regard as just as good,
more fascinating find.
My dress and hair be simply there,
among matters of our greeting,
ideas more a thing to share,
as we enjoy our meeting.
One may present a good surprise,
if she can really know him.
You'll see that, as one loves, she tries;
I'll give you a poem.
