Who Can Count The Gifts
The image of a loved one's face,
a snowy seagull's whirling grace,
subtle color of a flower,
vast sky change at twilight's hour,
precision of a knit design,
bright twining of a scarlet vine.
Beat of a friend's familiar walk,
expression changing when we talk,
unfolding dewy verdant leaf,
image that confirms belief.
Longings that cause us to seek,
seeds of faith that grows and lifts,
songs to sing and words to speak.
Life: Oh, who can count the gifts?
